Worked example (by hand)
Born 25 August 1990, today 22 October 2026:
- Days: 22 is less than 25, so borrow a month and add September's 30 days: 52 − 25 = 27 days.
- Months: after borrowing we have 9; 9 − 8 = 1 month.
- Years: 2026 − 1990 = 36 years.
