Eid al-Fitr is the first day of Shawwal, confirmed by sighting the Shawwal crescent on the evening of 29 Ramadan or by completing 30 days of Ramadan. Eid al-Adha is the 10th of Dhu al-Hijjah, preceded by the Day of Arafah on the 9th. The dates here are calculated from the Umm al-Qura calendar and match the official announcement in most years, sometimes differing by a day.
